Voip Services
I lose my internet connection a couple of times per day. This has happened since i switched service providers from Tiscali to Talktalk. I cannot get help from talktalk unless I phone thier premium rate help line and they just keep you hanging on the phone for hours. I am using a netgear DG834g v2 router and have a pc and 2 wireless laptops connected as well as a Voip phone from Vonage. The problem seems to be independant of how many and which computers are switched on. The connection just disappears and says server not found even though the status lights on the router say all is fine. I reboot the router and even after it has finished rebooting it still takes 9.5 minutes to reconnect to the internet. I have tried flushing and renewing my ipconfig settings with no success and I have performed speed tests immediately after reconnecting and acheived results well over 2 mbps. The Vonage phone is disconnected whilst the problem occurs as well. Any ideas are most welcome

I’m looking for a VOIP service that has numbers in Lorain Ohio. I need to keep my home phone number but can’t seem to find a service that ports my number. They all claim they can but when I type in 440-277-XXXX they say it’s not portable. If anyone knows of a service for me I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks!

I recently subscribed to Vonage (VoIP) phone service and am now having problems setting up port forwarding for BitComet. Before I got Vonage phone service,I had only my Linksys WRT54GS wireless router.Port forwarding with my 2 pc’s and WRT54GS all by itself was working perfectly. Now,with the Vonage V-Portal (VDV21-VD) BitComet says that it is being blocked.Of course I called Vonage tech support, spent nearly an hour on the phone with one of the supposedly highly skilled and trained tech reps, highly skilled and trained,WOW,what a joke.Anyhow I have tried seting up port forwarding on the V-Portal (VDV21-VD) and it is not working. The BitComet app I have on one of my pc’s is showing a completely different IP address than any of my pc’s are using. Please someone give me a solution!!

I would like to get headset service to run on my bluetooth mobile phone so that I can use it to make VoIP (Skype) calls through my bluetooth PC laptop, instead of having to carry a traditional bluetooth headset around.

I know people who have a US billing address and use Vonage VoIP service overseas. Can the same concept be applied to installing same DirecTV equipment in an Asian Country and getting it to work ?
